The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created the human 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
