Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
