Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
