The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - 2 the Merciful, the Most Merciful, 3 Owner of the Day of Recompense 4 Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 5 Guide us the straight way. 6 The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
