When the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts was sickness, said, 'Their religion has deluded them'; but whosoever puts his trust in God, surely God is All-mighty, All-wise. 49 And if you could see when the angels take away the souls of those who disbelieve (at death), they smite their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the punishment of the blazing Fire." 50 For what you have brought upon yourselves." God is surely not unjust to His creatures, (they are unjust to themselves). 51 Like the ways of Firaun’s people, and those before them; they disbelieved in the signs of Allah – therefore Allah seized them on account of their sins; indeed Allah is Most Powerful, Severe in Punishing. 52 "Because Allah will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls: and verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things)." 53 This was the case with the people of Pharaoh and those before them, who rejected the signs of their Lord and were destroyed for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh as they were oppressors. 54 Surely the worst of beasts in God's sight are the unbelievers, who will not believe, 55 They are those with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time and they do not fear Allah. 56 Therefore if you overtake them in fighting, then scatter by (making an example of) them those who are in their rear, that they may be mindful. 57 If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms: for Allah loveth not the treacherous. 58
