The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - 2 the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them; 3 And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 As for those who have rejected (these things), it is all the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they are not going to believe. 6 Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allah's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment. 7
