You who believe, seek help through patience and prayer; surely, God is with the steadfast. 153 And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah: dead. Nay, they are living, but ye perceive not. 154 And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, 155 when a misfortune comes to them, they say, "We are Allah's and we shall certainly return to Him,'' 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. 159 Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. 160 Verily those who disbelieve, and die while they are infidels, these it is on whom shall be the curse of Allah and the angels and mankind all. 161 therein dwelling forever; the chastisement shall not be lightened for them; no respite shall be given them. 162 And your God is one God! there is no god but He; He is the Beneficent, the Merciful. 163
