O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. 153 And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. 154 And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, 155 Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- 156 Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 BEHOLD, as for those who suppress aught of the evidence of the truth and of the guidance which We have bestowed from on high, after We have made it clear unto mankind through the divine writ - these it is whom God will reject, and whom all who can judge will reject. 159 save such as repent and make amends, and show clearly -- towards them I shall turn; I turn, All-compassionate. 160 Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together, 161 They will abide therein: Their penalty will not be lightened, nor will respite be their (lot). 162 Your God is One God; there is no God except Him – the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 163
