Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They said: forbade we not thee against the worlds? 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 it is still there on the highway -- 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 The people of the Wood were also surely wrongdoers. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79
