And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
