And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
