And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Stretch not thine eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers, 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
