And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
