And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
