You shall not kill your offspring for fear of want. It is We who provide for them, and for you. Indeed, killing them is a great sin. 31 And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a Fahishah [i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin)], and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him). 32 And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right. And whoever is killed unjustly - We have given his heir authority, but let him not exceed limits in [the matter of] taking life. Indeed, he has been supported [by the law]. 33 And do not approach the property of the orphan save in the fairest manner, until he is of age. And fulfil the covenant; surely the covenant shall be questioned of. 34 And give full measure when you measure out, and weigh with a true balance; this is fair and better in the end. 35 And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned. 36 Do not walk proudly on the earth; your feet cannot tear apart the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains. 37 Of all such things the evil is hateful in the sight of thy Lord. 38 This is of what your Lord has revealed to you of wisdom, and do not associate any other god with Allah lest you should be thrown into hell, blamed, cast away. 39 What! Has your Lord then favoured you with sons and Himself adopted females from among the angels? What you say is monstrous. 40
