And surely, We have explained [Our Promises, Warnings and (set forth many) examples] in this Quran that they (the disbelievers) may take heed, but it increases them in naught save aversion. 41 Say: If there had been (other) gods with Him, as they say,- behold, they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne! 42 High indeed be He exalted above that they say! 43 The seven skies, the earth, and all that lies within them, sing hallelujas to Him. There is nothing that does not chant His praises, but you do not understand their hymns of praise. He is verily clement and forgiving. 44 When you recite the Quran, We place an invisible barrier between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter. 45 We put veils over their hearts to prevent them from comprehending it, and We afflict their ears with deafness. When you mention your one and only Lord in your recitation of the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion. 46 We are well aware of what they wish to hear when they listen to you and what they say when they confer in whispers, when the wrong-doers say: "You are only following one who is bewitched." 47 See the kind of examples they invent for you! They therefore strayed, so cannot find a path. 48 And they say: "When we are bones and fragments (destroyed), should we really be resurrected (to be) a new creation?" 49 Say: Be ye stones or iron 50 ۞ or anything that you think is harder to be brought to life." They will soon ask, "Who will bring us back to life?" Say,"The One who created you in the first place." They will shake their heads and say, "When will He bring us back to life?" Say, "Perhaps very soon. 51 A day when He will call you and ye will answer with His praise, and ye will think that ye have tarried but a little while. 52
