Do you not see that We have appointed devils to incite those who deny the truth to disobedience? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and drive the evildoers into Gehenna herding, 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing. 89 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, 90 because they ascribe a son to the Gracious One. 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 Not one of all [the beings] that are in the heavens or on earth appears before the Most Gracious other than as a servant: 93 He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly. 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 We have made it [the Quran] easy, in your own language [Prophet], so that you may convey glad news to the righteous and give warning to a stubborn people. 97 How many generations have We destroyed before them! Do you sense even one of them, or hear a whisper from them? 98
