Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? 30 We placed stabilisers in the earth so that as it revolved with them you lived undisturbed; and We provided passageways between them so that men may find their way; 31 and We set up the heaven as a roof well-protected; yet still from Our signs they are turning away. 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all (orbs) travel along swiftly in their celestial spheres. 33 And We appointed not for any human being before thee immortality; if thou then diest, are they to be immortals? 34 Every soul will know the taste of death. We tempt you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will return. 35 When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! 36 Man is a creature of haste. Soon I will show you My signs, but do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 They say: 'If you are truthful, when will this promise come' 38 If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them! 39 It will come upon them unawares confounding them, and they will not be able to keep it back, nor will they be given respite. 40 And assuredly mocked were the apostles before thee, then there surrounded those of them who scoffed that whereat they had been mocking! 41
