The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
