The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
