The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed, 19 So that when they reach it their ears and eyes and persons will testify to what they did. 20 And they will say to their bodies: "Why did you testify against us?" They will answer: "God, who gave all things power of articulation, made us speak. It is He who created you the first time, and to Him you will return. 21 When you used to conceal yourselves (while committing misdeeds) you never thought that your ears or your eyes or your skins would ever bear witness against you; you rather fancied that Allah does not know a great deal of what you do. 22 That, your thought which ye did think about your Lord, hath ruined you; and ye find yourselves (this day) among the lost. 23 If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received. 24 ۞ We assigned for them companions who would make their past and present (deeds) seem attractive to them. Thus, they became subject to what the jinn and human beings before were destined to suffer. They were certainly lost. 25
