The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 these are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
