The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
