▼ 25 The Statute Book
Al-Furqaan 6 of 6
Highly blessed is He, Who has made fortified spheres in the heavens and has set in it a "lamp" and a shining moon. 61 And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful. 62 And the bondmen of the Most Gracious who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them they answer, “Peace”. (Good –bye) 63 And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer] 64 who say, 'Our Lord, turn Thou from us the chastisement of Gehenna; surely its chastisement is torment most terrible; 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 And those who when they expend, are neither extravagant nor sparing, and it is a medium in-between. 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,- 69 Excepted, however, shall be they who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they whose [erstwhile] bad deeds God will transform into good ones - seeing that God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace, 70 and seeing that he who repents and [thenceforth] does what is right has truly turned unto God by [this very act of] repentance. 71 And those who witness not falsehood, and when they pass by some vanity pass by with dignity. 72 and who, whenever they are reminded of their Sustainer's messages, do not throw themselves upon them [as if] deaf and blind; 73 And those who say: our Lord bestow on us coolness of eyes from our wives and our offspring, and make us unto the God-fearing a pattern. 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 O Muhammad, tell the people, "MyLord does not care at all if you do not invoke Him. Now that you have denied (His Revelation), you will soon be awarded such a punishment which you will never be able to avoid." 77
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
