And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 "So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
