When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
