The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
