Thamud (people) belied the Messenger. 141 Recall when their brother Salih said to them: "Have you no fear?" 142 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 143 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 144 'I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 145 "Do you think that you will be left secure [forever] in the midst of what you have here and now? 146 "Gardens and Springs, 147 The fields of corn and date-palm trees with soft and tender spathes, 148 and that you will [always be able to] hew dwellings out of the mountains with [the same] great skill?" 149 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 150 “And do not follow those who exceed the limits.” 151 Who corrupt the land and do not reform it." 152 They replied: 'Surely, you are one of those bewitched. 153 You are but a human like ourselves. Produce for us a sign, if you are of the truthful' 154 He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day. 155 so do her no harm, or the punishment of an awful day will befall you." 156 Yet they hamstrung her, and in the morning they were remorseful, 157 so the punishment came down upon them. Surely in that there is a sign, but most of them would not believe. 158 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
