The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
