The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
