The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
