The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 weigh with an even balance 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
