This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
