And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
