And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
