The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; 1 A guide (to the Right Path); and glad tidings for the believers [who believe in the Oneness of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)]. 2 Who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate, and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 3 As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. 4 Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 5 And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are receiving the Quran from the One, All-Wise, All-Knowing. 6 Tell of Moses who said to his family, "I have seen a fire. I will bring you news from there, or a burning brand for you to warm yourselves." 7 When he came up to it, a voice called out, "Blessed be whoever is near this fire, and whoever is around it! Glory be to God, Lord of the Universe! 8 Moses, it is I, Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 9 Throw down your staff." But when he saw it moving like a snake, he turned and fled. "Moses, do not be afraid! The messengers need have no fear in My presence; 10 Save him who hath done wrong and afterward hath changed evil for good. And lo! I am Forgiving, Merciful. 11 And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. 12 But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
