۞ God is He that created you of weakness, then He appointed after weakness strength, then after strength He appointed weakness and grey hairs; He creates what He will, and He is the All-knowing, the All-powerful. 54 Upon the Day when the Hour has come, the harmdoers will swear that they had stayed no more than an hour. As such they are deceived. 55 And those who have been vouchsafed knowledge and belief will say: assuredly ye have tarried according to the decree of Allah until the Day of Upraising; so this is the Day of Upraising, but ye were wont not to know. 56 So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah]. 57 Truly, We have set forth for men in this Quran every kind of parable and indeed, if you bring them a sign, those who are bent on denying the truth are sure to say, "You are only making false claims!" 58 In this way God seals the hearts of those who do not [want to] know [the truth], 59 So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And let them not disquiet you who are not certain [in faith]. 60
