Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 As guidance and mercy for the doers of good 3 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He created the skies without a support, as you can see, and placed stabilisers in the earth that you may dwell at ease as it revolves; and dispersed on it all varieties of creatures, and He sent down water from the skies and grew all kinds of splendid things upon it. 10 Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error. 11
