O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 59 ۞ THUS IT IS: if the hypocrites, and they in whose hearts is disease, and they who, by spreading false rumours, would cause disturbances in the City [of the Prophet] desist not [from their hostile doings]; We shall indeed give thee mastery over them, [O Muhammad] - and then they will not remain thy neighbours in this [city] for more than a little while: 60 They shall be cursed from all around and they shall be ruthlessly killed wherever they are seized. 61 The tradition of Allah prevalent among those who passed away before; and you will never find the traditions of Allah changing. 62 People will ask you about the Hour. Say, "God alone has knowledge of it. Who knows? The Hour may well be near at hand." 63 Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze. 64 Living there for ever, they shall neither find a guardian nor a helper. 65 On the day when their faces shall be turned back into the fire, they shall say: O would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Apostle! 66 They will say, "Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and elders and they caused us to go astray. 67 Our Lord, mete out to them a double chastisement and lay upon them a mighty curse.” 68
