Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 so that they might eat of its fruit and the labor of their hands. Will they not give thanks? 35 Holy is He Who created all things in pairs, whether it be of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they do not know. 36 Of the signs for them is how We separated the day from the night and thus they remained in darkness; 37 And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise. 38 And the moon, We have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch. 39 Neither does it lie in the sun's power to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glide along, each in its own orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride. 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 unless it be by an act of mercy from Us and a grant of life for a [further span of] time. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 And not a sign cometh unto them of the signs of their Lord, but they are ever backsliders therefrom. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
