A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat. 33 And there We made gardens of palms and vines, and in it We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 All glory belongs to the One Who has created pairs out of what grow from the earth, out of their soul and out of that which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 how the sun moves in its orbit and this is the decree of the Majestic and All-knowing God; 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 Neither does it lie in the sun's power to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glide along, each in its own orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help) nor will they be saved. 43 It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
