The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the rangers ranging 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
