1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
