۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
