And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
