Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
