Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
