We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
