Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
