Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
